Washer/Dryer Parts?
« on: June 14, 2010, 09:52:03 pm »
So, say you have access to a washer/dryer pair that no one needs. Any picks on which motor to scavenge for powering a mill?
The moral majority, is neither.

No direct experience, but I've heard of people using a dryer motor.

The lower the rpm and higher the horse power the better.  A slower rotation on your motor with more torque/ power will help facilitate the synchronization of the mills' rollers and aid in a better crush.
