Send beers to NHC from outside US
« on: December 18, 2015, 07:26:24 pm »
Hi
I would like to join the NHC, but I'm from Brazil.
Does anyone knows about regulations and laws to send beer to US?
Any homebrewer from other countries here??

Thanks

Cheers
Neto

Do you want to ship it out bring it with you personally. Bringing beer in luggage shouldn't be a problem. I and many others have done it.

I've had rum shipped to me from Slovenia before. It came through regular postal mail. I honestly don't know if it was legal or not, but it came through in one piece with no issues that I am aware of.

It at least partly depends on the liquor laws of the originating country. It is definitely not legal in the U S of A.
A well packed bottle of booze that had no identifying marks on the package might get through.

My idea is to send using a courier company, like FedEx or UPS.
But I don't know if I need to send any kind of documents with the bottles or anything else.

Thanks

I'm from Argentina, interested too. I once tried to ship dry yeast sachets to Canada and I couldn't. The postal service didn't let me ship food content.
