I don't know why people are so down on regular Munton's. I brewed this last month and it turned out great.
Back Bench bitter: three gallons, O G 1.050, F G 1.009, IBUs 40s
3 lbs. Pearl malt
3 lbs. Optic malt
8 ozs. carastan malt
4 ozs. British crystal 60
4 ozs. biscuit malt
8 ozs. demerara sugar
1/3 oz. home grown goldings plus
1/8 oz. admiral to FWH
1/3 oz. challenger plus
1/2 oz. admiral for 45 minutes
irish moss and nutrient for 15 minutes
1/2 oz. H G goldings plus
1/8 oz. admiral for 9 minutes
1 oz. H G goldings plus
1/4 oz. admiral to steep.
