I have an extra SS corny keg delivery tube that I would like to weld closed to make my own thermowell.  Do I need to have a food grade weld or is any SS weld acceptable.

Any SS weld will do. Just make sure it's cleaned up (sanded smooth) so it's easier to keep sanitized.
