Trouble with Bru'n Water
« on: January 28, 2016, 06:55:14 pm »
I have been trying to learn how to use bru'n water, but have a slight problem. I can't get excel to work! I have done everything I can think of, but it just will not work on my computer. Does anyone else run the spreadsheet on something other than excel? I have tried it on Google sheets and that hasn't worked either.

Can you elaborate?

You can't get Excel to work? Or you can't get Bru'n Water to work on Excel?

I can help you from there.

I can't get excel to work. Originally I tried to download the free 30 day trial that was on microsofts website. When it finally downloaded and I opened the program, it told me that I had to activate it. Every time i would click ok to activate it would say can do this at this time. Did that for about three days, uninstalled and reinstalled and still the same. Then I tried to find a free old copy I could just download and use, but that didn't yeild anything either. I got it to work on my computer at work just fine, but I'm sure the boss would frown on beer research on company comps.

I have used both Libreoffice and OpenOffice.
Haven't heard of either of those, but I'll check them out now. If it isn't obvious already I am not tech savvy whatsoever.

You can download either for free. Libreoffice is what I like these days.

Martin has said on a few occasions that it will work in those other applications but is optimized for Excel.

PM me. I'll get you Excel.

I think I was able to get it to work with OpenOffice. Thanks for the suggestions.
