John Paul Stoddard (WORTS) Wichita Falls Texas.
« on: February 03, 2016, 09:27:22 AM »
Wanted to take the opportunity to say hello to everyone.
I am John Paul Stoddard and if your on Facebook You can find me at https://www.facebook.com/johnpaul.stoddard

I started homebrewing in 1997 with several others here in Wichita Falls Texas. We were the founding members of WORTS Wichita's Only Real Tasty Suds Homebrew Club.

Was Always interested in Brewing my own beer, and after experiencing beers in Germany while stationed in Aschaffenburg Germany with 1st Battalion 7th Infantry Regiment 3rd Brigade 3rd Infantry Division as a 11H. When I came home I found a homebrew show and brewed my first batch, an extract Hefeweizen. I shared it with a few friends and we were hooked. At the Same time ironically several others were getting started also. From that group WORTS was formed. Many of our members were Air Force Service Members stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base, so our numbers would fluctuate around their assignment rotations over the years.

Over the years I attended many Bluebonnet Brewoffs and made many "Beer Friends", Homebrewers and Commercial Brewers. WORTS were trend setters .....and Known for our Clubrooms over the Years. Hope to come back this year maybe.

I took a break from homebrewing for several years due to health and personal issues but I have resparked the desire.

I am also wanting to open my own Taproom :) and trying to revitalize the Club locally.

And of course like many Homebrewers.  I have a collection of Brewania and your welcome to look at my collection on a Facebook page I created just to share my collection with other. The history of The  Drunk Dragon Tavern goes back to my Dungeons and Dragons group.

I've been to Wichita Falls.  Brewing is the answer.
