Done. Not too bad for a five day brew.

Nice foam. Bit thin, but at 4 ABV I can't complain.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

If you are ever invited by a homebrew club in another country or something similar to give a talk about this method, and you promise to bring 20 bottles or so, and you have never ever used a beergun, this is my advice: THINK TWICE. At some point you may be inclined to shoot the inventor of the beergun with a lethalized version of his own contraption, and we don't want you to do that, now do we?

Did you turn down the pressure and vent the keg?

Beat me to it. It's pretty straightforward otherwise.

I forget to vent the keg after turning down the pressure about once every 8-10 times I use the BG. It's quite evident when you pull the trigger and beer flies everywhere. Vent, put the first runnings into a pitcher or something, and then fill the bottles properly.

Really becomes a beer gun at that point !  OP - I like to vent and fill @ 3-4 psi. Less foaming in the bottle = less loss of carbonation.

I knew of the 5 psi, but that was still too high. In the end it was a trial and error method where I turned down the pressure so much that nothing came out, and then gradually increased the pressure.

In my long experience, nothing is ever straightforward the first time, except things like falling off a cliff or something similar.

The falling may be straightforward.  Landing takes practice.

Landing takes some practice but the real expertise is found in surviving the fall, and may only get 1 chance at that

Unfortunately I'm now landing with some diacetyl.

Also, way too little CO2 in the bottles. I have to improve my beergun skills...
