Careful with them beers.
Don't do it in a closed container. Radiolysis of the water will produce hydrogen gas and knock the CO2 out of solution. My guess is that you will skunk the beer pretty quickly.

This was a project for my rad bio class.  Safe to say it was cleared by director.  I left the lids loose so no worries, and yes it was skunked and gross
