It was awesome, that is all.

It's not a popularity contest, it's beer!

Tickets go on sale Saturday at noon for 2016 DLD. They're using an all inclusive format this year. I'm still pondering taking the road trip!

$200 bucks for five bottles (4 DL and a variant) seems a little steep. I realize there is more to it that than, but I got bottles in 2005 for $15 and thought it was steep then. ;)

I agree, steep steep steep. Its the experience I suppose. Unfortunately, by the time I can justify that kind of an expense for a beer experience, the cost will have doubled again  :-[

I almost went last year and should have.  I think this year I will try.  Not to keen on dropping $200 up front but should be fun.

I got a DL and two other barrel aged 3 Floyds at an auction for $100.

Not sure if I'd do it again, though.  Still waiting for the right moment to crack it open.

I drank a 2005 in 2005 and it was outstanding. The 2006 I just had was as well. Probably never a bad time to drink it. I still have a 2005 I will certainly hold for awhile longer, maybe 2020 or maybe 2025.

One of the servers at the local brewery says she goes to DLD. Just to hang out and the bottle share, she never gets the Dark Lord.

Been to several DLDs. Can't this year unfortunately. But that is one fine beer to cellar, for sure. Great brewery.

Yeah, you get 4 bottles of Dark Lord plus a rare variant of dark lord. You get a tote with $40 in food and drink vouchers. Basically, if you bought everything last year, you would be paying the same. Now there's just no cash exchange and lines move more quickly.

I had a 2007 or 08 a few weeks after DLD and it was a hot mess. The only other time I had it, it had been aged a couple of years and was very good. Still don't want to go to the event, even though it's 15 minutes away.
