28. 29 if you count layovers in Texas.
Bah! That most certainly does not count. Of all the things Texas is, flyover state isn't one of them.

And only 12 states for me. I need to get out more.

Only 15 here.

Maryland
Virginia
Delaware
West Virginia
Pennsylvania
Ohio
North Carolina
South Carolina
Tennessee
Georgia
Alabama
Florida
California
Nevada
Arizona

Most were work trips. I'd like to get out and visit more of the southwest.

Yes loved Alaska and want to return to do some fishing.

I've hit 5 of 7 continents, and only wish to hit the 6th being Australia . Antarctica not so much unless I win a trip there or something. Feel very fortunate to have been across the globe.

Ken, you have been around. Just NA and Euroland for me, so only 2 continents.

My sentiments exactly. Cool to say you've done it but can't imagine much excitement there...just a big arse iceberg.

Back in the day there was an engineer I compared notes with. She had done most of the adventures I had done in the US. She had done Afrika a couple of times, and Antartica. She had some great pictures and stories from her travels.

You haven't been to Rhode Island?  Considering I-95 goes right through it, it's an easy target to hit if you're heading through New England.

Stop in Federal Hill for some great Italian food on your way.

All but Hawaii, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts
How many on your bike?
All of those in a truck, on a bike would be just 6 states, but also Japan

After counting, it looks like I've been to exactly half (edit: actually 26 in the recount).  All of the colonies and Atlantic coast states plus West Virginia, Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, and Wisconsin, and then California, Oregon, and Washington out west.  Oh, and Colorado.

I've also been to at least 20 caribbean islands, but that's another story.
