Awesome!

By the way, we sampled the Challenge beer the other day and I would say that it is a classic example of someone's very first attempt at brewing, LOL.

I said 3/25 in my first post (apparently... lol) but I missed it due to enjoying Spring Training, FL sun, and beers too much. ;)

Figured I'd give everyone one last go at it. After I send out the pairs tomorrow morning I won't accept anyone new. Best to get in tonight since I'm up at 5:30am. ;)

For some reason I get a bit anxious about waiting to see who I am sending mine to. I guess subconsciously I'm afraid it will be Hieronymus J. Fussbudget III, hard-ass beer connoisseur.

Lol... I'm anxious too. In fact, I had just checked all the "new" threads... Then I saw this had a new tag afterwards. It was just you haha

The really 'sad' part is that I'm not participating in this one not because I don't have beer to send, but rather because I still haven't had a chance to sample and provide feedback from the October one on a few of the ones I was sent.  I have an acquisition problem.  I acquire more beer than I drink and I'm trying to work through it.  lol

Let me know if a house in your neighborhood becomes available for rent during the winter months Toby. I could help.

Alrighty, here's the listing of pairs. I went random, then tried to keep the challenge beer people amongst themselves, then I attempted to minimize shipping distances to some extent, but it sure ain't perfect.

Well it worked great for me Amanda, thanks! Can't wait to try Frank's brews and Eric is close enough for cheap shipping or even a possible in-person drop off.
Eric: I'm waiting on a lager and the challenge beer is in the fermenter, so will probably mail April 22-25. Will be sure to include some meads. We'll have to go back and forth to figure out what local offerings I can find that are not available your way. Are the newer Spencer Abbey offerings available in RI? The Imperial Stout and IPA?
Frank: No worries if your not ready yet, I don't mind waiting.

Cool.  Thanks, Amanda.  Cempt1 is not a user I think I'm familiar with.  Looking forward to getting to know you and looking forward to Jim's challenge beer.

My challenge beer will get shipped, but I'm not 100% in love with it.  I need to tap the keg because the bottles never cleared.  Oh well, a cloudy bitter ain't the worst thing.

And Toby, if you ever get around to sampling those from October I would love the feedback.  I've got my notes on your last beer on a piece of paper in my pocket (really) and can't remember if I ever posted them.

Hey @Wort-H.O.G. I exceeded my PM limit - go figure!

So before I forget to reply back: Yes - I do love German lagers!  8) And no, we don't get Fatheads. I think we get Great Lakes? Idk anymore.

Thanks again Amanda. 3 of my 4(sending most ready 3) are still awaiting bottling hopefully this week, and I will ship accordingly as the bottling and conditioning is complete. I am also not very familiar with my shipper, but have seen Hooper floating around and look forward to the brews.
edit, just realized that Hooper and i shared a couple pms a while back about his tag line quote and the great movie its from!
