Api calcium test kit
« on: March 08, 2016, 07:25:31 pm »
http://www.amazon.com/API-69L-Calcium-Test-Kit/dp/B0006JDWHI

I'm looking at purchasing the Lamotte brewlab if it ever goes on sale.  I also was looking into the above test kit from API, but they don't seem to have all of the required tests other than KH and calcium.

Anyone think the Lamotte is worth it or should I scour the web for individual ones?

The price of the Lamotte is fair, but how often do you need to test your water. They advertise 50 tests, so if you amortize it the price is good. Can your share with buddies?

I would test my water before each batch, which would be every two months or so.  In my case, I'm leaning towards the Lamotte and that should last me roughly 8-10 yrs. assuming the reagents don't expire...

I wouldn't be splitting it with anyone
