HELP!!! North side of Detroit and the World Cup!
« on: June 23, 2010, 09:22:20 pm »
About two hours ago, we decided that I was driving my wife to Farmington Hills, MI for a meeting in the morning.  I want to find a brewery or beer pub that will be open for the 10am kick off tomorrow.  (and that will have screens for the WC matches.)  We should land in the area at 9.

I'm prepared to call Dragonmead if nothing else pops up as a sure thing.

We'll be driving 3 hours to get up there, so I'm hoping for some luck.

I don't know of any that open that early, 11am is the earliest.  Not so sure about beer bars.  Most of the places that are open in the AM are those of the "fizzy yellow water" variety.  Closest brewpub to Farm Hills is Copper Canyon in Southfield (11 mile/696 and Telgraph) but I'm certain they don't open until 11 at the earliest.

I ended up driving to Dragonmead and listening to the Italy match on XM until they opened.  I probably could have gone down to Claddagh in Northville.  I know they're hosting viewing parties in Columbus.  But it was a god reason to drive East.  what an interesting experience.
