Beer in St. Louis
« on: June 23, 2010, 08:13:54 pm »
I'm going to St. Louis for the weekend. Are there any beer related things I need to do (bars, breweries, stores etc.) other than Anheuser Busch? Or any great local beers I can't get anywhere else? Or anything else I have to do or experience while there? A lot of people have told me St. Louis is pretty lame, but I refuse to believe there's nothing worth my time.

Schlafly Beer "The Tap Room"
Westport Plaza - bunch of little bars and restaurants. Toasted Ravioli is the thing to get.
Soulard would be good - Cajun Food, Johnnie's (upscale Hooters), Carson's (downscale Johnnie's), McGuirk's Irish Pub
EAST ST.LOUIS - has good "clubs"

It's lame.

PS - If you have a car while there - Meramac caverns, a case of beer, and a canoe or an inner tube on the river.
