AHA Forum Meetup at NHC
« on: April 17, 2016, 02:02:26 pm »
Are we going to do the forum meetup again this year?

If so, would there be any interest in getting some food and, provided it's not against the rules, some beer?

Maybe get a sixtel of a local micro?

I think it's already on the schedule, maybe for Friday, around 12:30 to 1:30? I have no problem chipping in for some food--and there probably won't be much beer around, so we'll need that, too.
Well...I woke up this morning and I got myself a beer

After the last one, the AHA had talked about providing food.  Lemme check and I'll get back to ya.

Start providing food and we have 300 supposed forum regulars show up, 295 without beer.

Just sayin' - NHC attendees love their food, esp when someone else provides it, and anything with "free beer"...

It's on the schedule already like Guido said: Friday, June 10   12:45 pm – 1:45 pm   AHA Forum Meet & Greet

I'm flying in on Friday morning so I plan to attend.  For 2 days, I could easily get by with a carry on bag, but I'm bringing a suitcase so I can bring some beer down.  Hell, I'm flying Southwest and get 2 free bags so maybe I'll bring 2 :)

Yeah, keep the food secret  :)

I'll actually try to make it this year.  It seems like when I'm visiting another city we always try to hit somewhere interesting for lunch and I miss it.

I'll be there, whether there's food and beer or not.
Corn is a fine adjunct in beer.

And don't buy stale beer.

I'll be bringing some sort of beer, no doubt.  Just trying to figure out logistics of whether anything more than bombers can be made to work.

Toby, what do you have in mind?

Toby, what do you have in mind?

Just trying to figure out if howlers/growlers/or even small kegs could be transported (well obviously they _can_ but whether I can make it happen).  There's even a part of me trying to figure out if I can finagle access to a crowler machine.  Worst case, I have 2 wine checks and am flying Southwest.

Hi everyone!

We're planning to schedule the Forum Meet & Greet inside the Social Club this year.

We were really happy with the success of last year's meet & greet, and we heard your comments about food & beer. With the meet & greet being in the Social Club, everyone will have access to beer, as well as the ability to purchase food in the Expo Hall.

I hope this helps. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in Baltimore in a few weeks!

Cheers,

Since it's a forum meet and greet, everyone should have to be able to list at least 5 forum names before getting in :)

Well, that takes care of that.  Sounds great, thanks

If I go I'll drive, show up at this event, and have stuff to share. Just won't probably know until the last week or two if I'll actually make the drive.
