Just noticed at Homebrew Con (gaging on the name) both Michael Fairbrother and Candace Moon will be in attendance and presenting, though not together. Could be an interesting discussion if they were to meet.

Maybe she trying to figure out a way to sue homebrewers for making clone recipes.

Now if it's this Candace Moon...I'm in.

Nope, not her. Still easier to look at than Fairbrother.  :o

Don't expect me to say anything, attorneys are working on this now.

I've already had to change a flagship beer name late last hear because of a winery, now we have another one. I'm starting to hate wineries. Another brewery that has a similar name is willing to work with us as long as our distribution doesn't cross paths. And now we have one more big brewery that has filed a cease and disist on a name.

Understand that in all 4 cases, all but one just uses a partial word in the actual name. EG: Our beer name is "Hop Revival", and "Revival Winery" is filing a cease in desist.

It is to the point of ridiculousness.

One of the better local breweries around here is named Revival Brewing. I wonder if they've been hit up by the same winery.

This is why I call my beer "Feces Lake Brewing".  Of course, with my luck scatological references will be hip in 5 years.

This get's even more convoluted than you can imagine. I probably shouldn't go into any more detail. But yes, I have heard of and from them.

If I ever open/own a brewery we'll just do a Torso series of beers named Bob, Phil, Matt, etc. Sure it will be in poor taste, but at least no one will get all bent out of shape over the names!
