Got a new job
« on: June 28, 2010, 09:06:12 am »
Go ahead and laugh at me, but so far, I love it! Not much work for sheet metal / HVAC in Idaho. So, I'm working from home. i'm taking the 1-800 calls for infomercials. Pretty much anything you see on t.v., I take orders for. It's a pretty sweet gig. I can work any hours I want, as much or as little. The pay is actually pretty good. It's the same as anything I would get doing HVAC / or sheet metal in Idaho. A little less than I was making in Ohio, but our bill were cut by more than half when we moved. And for the best part......i'm working right now, and not even wearing pants!!!
My sister also does it, and I know some others who have been doing it for years. Good stuff, and the flexible schedule is AWESOME!!

So you're going to be one that doesn't know jack about the product specifications... just wants me to complete the order right?   ;D

I was going to get Hughesnet, called and asked what the connection speed was since its advertised as High Speed and that I wanted to use telephonie via the internet... the phone rep could only tell me it wasn't recommended to use as a phone because there would be a pause / delay or echo in voice over.  Thats when I told the rep that it wasn't really high speed then because I've used OOMA (telephonie) with HS cable internet and it was as clear and fast as any landline.  So needless to say I'm still using dialup til I can get cable or HS via satellite.

Weaz... know your product specs, don't BS anyone, its a waste of both persons time.   ;)   Good luck with the new job Weaz and I guess you can get away with wearing your dress now too.   ;D ;)

They tell us everything you could possibly want to know about the products. It's just up to the person to learn it, or at least know where to go to find it. I plan on having at least half a clue.  ;D

And yes, maybe some days I will work in my KILT.

Pretty sweet & since you work from home, they can't tell how many homebrews you've had either!

Operators are standing by. Or, in my case, sitting comfortably, pantless.  ;D

Way to go Weaz, are they still hiring?

Oh yeah. I'm all set, and taking calls now, from Ohio, actually. Then, Once I get back to Idaho, I'll have them routed to my number there. and, anytime I come to Ohio, I can re-rout them here.
