Ommegang Seven Kingdoms
« on: April 25, 2016, 10:12:54 am »
Really enjoyed this beer. They mentioned phenols on the website, but they did not stand out to me. Seemed like a perfect example of a White IPA from the bottle I consumed.

Deferred the premier and the beer until (hopefully) tonight.

Went to see a band instead and boy am I whooped today.  So the premiere may be delayed until tomorrow.

I'll have to give this a try.  The Black Crow Red Saison from a couple seasons ago was pretty amazing.  Love the tie in as well, although I'm several seasons behind on the show.. don't have HBO anymore.

I think that the Valar Morghulis was the best of them.

I didn't know this is a thing. I don't watch any TV except we get HBO Now just to stream GoT.

The beers you mean? They have been out for a while now.

The first Iron Throne was decidedly the best. The latest Iron Throne release seemed to improve with time. The second Take The Black Stout was better IMO than the first. I could see something similar to Seven Kingdoms being released year round in sixers. It was a great beer.

I have three or four, maybe five, different releases in the cellar.

To be chilled and enjoyed while watching.

I think I have the 3-eyed Raven, Take the Black, Seven Kingdoms, and Valar Morghoulis.  Maybe something else, too.

Yea, didn't know about the beers. I'm surprised too as I like Ommegang and a couple varieties are available around here.

Der. Three Eyed Raven is the Red Saison, not Black Crow... but Black Crow would fit the theme... LOL
