organic hops
« on: June 22, 2016, 04:02:07 pm »
It's easy to grow hops organically in New Zealand and Australia due to the lack of hop diseases and pests, but I was wondering if all hops grown there actually are organically grown.

Even if pesticides are not needed, a grower could still be using synthetic fertilizers.

The nice thing about growing hops at home is I don't have to worry about being organic and can use sensible products on them.

It's still mind boggling to me that using cigar-steeped water as a pesticide isn't "organic".
Corn is a fine adjunct in beer.

And don't buy stale beer.

Aren't non organic tobacco products notoriously full of chemicals?

My understanding was that handmade cigars and some pipe tobaccos were not. Could be wrong.

I hadn't thought of that, just of pesticide and fungicide.
