I'm getting ready to barrel age a big barley wine. I was thinking of adding some raisins in the secondary. please give me some feed back as to timing and quantity. I want the flavor and some sweetness of the raisins.  By the way, the barrel is a twice used rye whiskey barrel that I may add some Templeton Rye to.
