keg temperature for storage
« on: July 09, 2016, 10:46:13 am »
I think I over brewed lately and don't have enough space in my fridge / kegerator. If I put my next brew (blond ale) into the keg when it is done and keep it at the downstairs temperature (between 69 F and 71 F) for a few weeks to a month would that be bad for my beer?
I am hoping that I wont ruin my beer with some kind of off flavor.
 10 lb. 2 row.....6 oz. crystal 20 L .....3 oz. Dextrine..........5 oz. cascade (60) .....5 oz. cascade (15)....WLP007.

As long as you purge the keg, seal up tight and hit it with a bit of gas to ensure no leaks it will sit fine

+1.  Just try to get it into your serving fridge as soon as possible. Or better yet, keep pounding away on one of the kegs in the fridge now to clear up space! Oh, the woes of having too much beer in the house.... ;D

Storing it at cellar temps should be fine.  Storing at 70ish degrees won't hurt it in anyway.  I do this all the time.

Where the heck are we going?  And what's with this hand basket?
