I'm back...
« on: July 27, 2016, 04:47:32 pm »
How's that for anticlimactic?  I say I'm going to be offline for a year while earning a Master's degree in Special Ed, and I'm back in 6 weeks.

That 6 weeks was intense.  They crammed an entire full-time semester into that time frame.  But as time went on I came to realize that I am not cut out for work in an elementary school. Count me out.  Too much peripheral crap.

So back to looking for work, and brewing beer!

Welcome back, Steve. While I was going to college, I worked for a short time as a substitute teacher at an elementary school, to make some extra $. By 'short time', I mean like 3 or 4 days. I figured out really quickly that I was not cut out for that.  :)  My wife is a high school teacher and I have no idea how she does it. But she's cut out for it and she's great at it.

Welcome back. Better to find that out in the first 6 weeks than the last. Good luck on the job hunt.

Welcome back. My wife was a second grade teacher, so I understand all the other stuff.

I teach high school.  Would not ever want any part of the record-keeping/ meetings of sped.

You never know until you try. I need to do something like that, but I'll probably have to lose my job first. I just want something that pays a little better, which is why I should jump ship and try for something better. Don't have the courage just yet.

Welcome back.

We know you're back for the beer.  It's okay to admit it.

Welcome back! Sorry things didn't work out, but better to find that out sooner than later.
Corn is a fine adjunct in beer.

And don't buy stale beer.
