Lake Water

I would like to brew with water from the chain o'lakes where my family has a house and vacations. It is a spring fed crystal clear chain of lakes. What would be the best way to collect and filter the water for brewing?

What are you trying to filter? Boiling will kill any unwelcome life forms. But you might also have petroleum fumes, fertilizer runoff,  and such...

You would be better getting the lake water through a shallow well/hole because the ground will act as a filter.

You could use a gravity fed carbon block setup. Will trickle through depending on the head pressure.
