Hey, here's an idea!  Let's stop force-feeding corn to our livestock and let them eat grass, which grows for FREE!!

Grass-fed is the way to go.  Time to break our obsession with corn.  C'mon people, let's get real here.  If you're still in the dark about the corn issue, check out one of the following:

The Omnivore's Dilemma (Michael Pollan)
Food, Inc (documentary version of Omnivore's Dilemma, essentially)
King Corn (documentary)

What's it going to take to wake America up?

This.

I have no pork worries, our pigs are grass fed and we should have plenty of BACON for us. Good luck Walmart shoppers.

No bacon worries, eh? Maybe I need to consider moving in with you.

In general Americans could use to eat less meat anyway.

Right on.  I stopped eating red meat a couple of years ago; I do not miss it.

I break down and grill a steak once every summer.  Maybe a yearly buffalo burger, too.

I'm sorry, but I have to call BS on the bacon shortage hoax.  There is no shortage of the elemental components that make up bacon:

There is only one success: to be able to spend your life in your own way.

Not Sure if this will help your bacon urges or fuel them.
