My method of aeration is to pour the wort into the carboy.   :o

I had the same attitude until I had a problem. Then I decided it wasn't worth the risk. I bought this. https://www.morebeer.com/products/oxywand-oxygenation-kit-05-micron.html and started doing starters. I have done about two dozen batches with no problems and I had a lager just die out on me. Everything I read said it either ran out of oxygen, or yeast, or both. DUMPED IT>
