Reducing 5gal keg to a 2.5 gal keg
« on: August 20, 2016, 05:44:49 pm »
Don't know if I'm over thinking this. Has anybody put empty capped water bottles or a capped pvc tube in a 5 gallon keg to reduce the amount of beer and co2 needed?  Or am I over thinking this just to save co2?  Im looking to do small experimental batches of beer and don't want to scale up to 5gal in case it doesn't work out.  Any advice appreciated.  Thanks.

I have never heard of anyone doing such a thing.  I think I'm going to come down on the "over thinking it" side and just say to blow the CO2.
Risk of failure should be no deterrent to trying.

Sometimes crazy odd ideals become a game changer. George C. Ballas Sr had one best known for inventing the Weed Eater.
