pinnah:
Thanks for the heads up...but....cherries imported from Utah?

You boys in Whyoming don't need to worry about such things, but I suggest that folks in Colorado should be Colorado Proud and seek out produce grown in Western Colorado.  We have the best pie cherries around anyways!

Why would brewers even want sour cherries?  Yacko ;)  :D

The best pies are made with Michigan Cherries!!!  ;D

narvin:
Sour cherries are GREAT in Lambics (heard of a kriek?).  Supposedly the Balaton is the closest you can get to the Morello cherries in Europe, as the Montmorecy cherries are not as good for beer.

Thanks Narvin, ya saved me from having to say it. maybe we can get Pinnah straightened out yet.... :o

As far as the BEST cherries, well they would be the freshest ones you can obtain...and MI is just too far away from BFE Wyhomin.
