Nice. Good to know LODO can be done in 4 hours.

Broadly speaking my brew days are 6 hours, but that is usually doing other stuff as well and combatting the kids.  I have pumped out a bitter in 2.5 hours (25 minute mash, 30 minute boil, get it done quick) when I needed something in a hurry and had no time to do it.  I think generally I would be in the 4-5 hour area if I didn't have other things pulling on my during brew days.
Risk of failure should be no deterrent to trying.

Basically this. I brew on Sundays and there's a toddler to corral, laundry or other chores being done during mash, heat-up and often the boil, too. With no interruptions (rare) I can get it down to about 4.5 hours if I hustle, start to finish.

I am going to play around with some fast recipes for basic bitters and milds this winter: get water and salts sorted the night before, no sparge, 40 min mash, 30 min boil.

My brew partner and I typically take anywhere from 4-6 hours. This past weekend we did our first all grain beer (Oatmeal Stout) and took about 6 hours start to finish. We've been brewing since June 2015. Typically her husband will set up the equipment outside, but we clean as we go making it easier in the end. Part of our routine includes bagels and cream cheese and a deli sandwich when we're all done ;)

Just brewed: Prairie Oatmeal Stout
Fermenting: Prairie Oatmeal Stout and Marzen
Favorite Style: I love a good Pilsner on a hot summer day.

My brew days were always longer than what I read here. I would grind the night before and treat my strike. I always did 15-20 gallon batches. 90 min mashes, fly sparged, and 90min boils. It would take me 10 hrs. My rig is outside, so the setup and breakdown time was increased.

Well that all depends on when I start brewing.

If I start at 7-7:30am, it takes me about 4.25 hours, If I start after 11:00am, it takes me about 6 hours

So what's the difference?  Whether I am drinking or not while I brew  ;D

I have my process down to about 6 hours for a 5 gallon all-grain batch. This includes hauling all of my gear from the basement to the patio and then back again. If I ever manage to convert part of the basement to a dedicated brewing space, I would probably cut about an hour off of my brew day.

I do 5-gallons of extract and it takes me about 4 hours on brew day, excluding prep time 2 days before...

Two days before (Friday): Fill 6 Tupperware containers with water and put into freezer to create giant ice blocks for wort chiller pump water. (10 minutes)

One day before (Saturday): Do yeast starter (1 hour)

Brew day (Sunday): Set-up and sanitize gear (45 mins) + bring water to boil while steeping grains (30 mins) + boil (60 mins) + transfer to fermenter and chill wort to below 70F (30 mins) + pitch yeast and cleanup (45 mins) = about 4 hours

I realized my answer didn't take into account the different systems I use.

48 qt. cooler, 5.5 gal. batch - 4-4.5 hours
Grainfather, 5 gal. batch - 6-7 hours
Zymatic, 2.5 gal. batch - 4.5-5 hours
Pico, 1.25 gal. batch - 2-2.5 hours
Life begins at 60.....1.060, that is!

You have got to improve that time by shaving off those 13 seconds!  What were you thinking?!!!! :o

Shooting for the whole 20:13 part to start with. If I would weigh out grains and prefill the kettle might knock off a little.

6hours all grain with setting up all of my equipment, measuring and milling, batch Sparge, 30 minute whirlpool, cleaning and putting everything away.
I am a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it.
