What dissolves beerstone?
« on: March 24, 2017, 02:29:40 pm »
Is there an acid or some other solution that will remove beerstone from glass?
Many of us would be on a strict liquid diet if it weren't for pretzels.

Have you tried a solution of Barkeeper's Friend?

Five Star also makes a beer stone remover.

I use BKF as well. A little elbow grease gets it for me.

I just saw that the OP was posting about glass.  Some of the recommendations at the more beer link may not appropriate for glass.

Acetic acid and citric acid seem to work fine as well with a little gentle scrubbing.
