I hate ticket sale threads

Can we make just one GABF ticket sale thread?  Or dare I say, go sell them on Homebrewtalk? You'll get a bigger audience.

I'm not usually much for censorship, but I've been on fora where new members' first posts have to be replies  to existing threads. This time of year it doesn't seem like a bad rule.

I think it's a good idea, Sean.

I've been holding my tongue on this. I just mark as read and move on. At least folks appear to be sticking to face value.

The GABF ticket threads happen every year. Those will be done in a few days.

I find them easy enough to ignore. OTOH I wish we would get rid of dead categories. The wedding category was a dud.
Also, I wish the "Ask the Experts" category was still alive.
And get off of my lawn!!!

Same here. I really enjoyed that one. Also +1 to the "get off my lawn".  :)

Agreed.  What's the problem?

You can still read past answers. As the person whose idea it was and who administered it, I can tell you it got to the point where it was very difficult to find people willing to give up their time to participate.  I mean, when it gets to the point where I'M one of the "experts", you know we're out of options!

Great answer Denny, to burst your humble bubble, you ARE an expert that gets "asked" a lot and I think we all appreciate it!
It was a great segment but I appreciate that its hard to pull off. But still, I would love to see it again.

Yeah, so would I.  In the meantime you'll just have to make do with interviews with "experts" on the Experimental Brewing podcast and others.

Without the ticket sale posts I would not have found tickets to the fest before getting to Denver. I wouldn't mind them being directed to the For Sale section or perhaps a sub-section for event tickets, but I spoke with a nice homebrewer and he sold me his tickets which was easy for both of us.

There is a button called "Report to Moderator" for threads started in this forum to sale or buy tickets  that really should be moved to the classified section. That said, it might be worth while to create a sub forum in the classified forum for GABF tickets so not to clutter that forum as well.
