I used some Chinook hop hash in a Rye IPA a couple months ago. Unfortunately I didn't make any notes on aroma, texture or other observable characteristics, the IPA turned out pretty well, but I'm no sophisticate.

Yeah it is. I just ordered some of the hop hash. Curiosity got the best of me. I think I'll start with some in a 1 gallon test batch, so I can :   A/ see what I think of it first, and  B/  figure out the right amount to scale up if I do.

Keep us updated. I won't get around to using mine for an while and will be curious what your experience is.

Ended up getting 8 oz. I am considering an IPA with 4 oz at the end of the boil and 4 oz dry hop with something like Columbus for bittering. Bad idea?

YVH says it's between 16-32% AA. With that variance in AA, I'm just gonna use it in a 170F or under whirlpool and dry.

The hammer mill will be coated with the sticky lupulin glands and resins, as it is a violent operation, I imagine there is a cloud of hop mater in the mill. They would dig it out between production runs. More Beer sells varieties of Hop Hash, but are just about out.

They also might clean out the pelletize room between runs. Denny might know if that is the case.

I just got two packs of 4 oz and man does it smell good! Actually looks a bit like real hash haha and ya its very nice smelling, I just dry hopped a session IPA with it so ill find out how it turns pretty soon now. I have used hop oil and the first time I used it my beer got infected so I coulndt really taste it and just now kegged another batch which has it. I think they are a nice cheaper way to achieve some high IBU's and bitterness. Also one thing I like so far about the hop has is that it seems like I can get some great aroma and flavor from a smaller amount meaning that not as much beer is displaced by large dry hop additions.

Finally got around to brewing my Hop Hash IPA. I don't brew IPAs very often and this one is definitely the best I have ever made.

I wish I knew what hops were included. It definitely seems like newer fruity, IPA worthy varieties. I have been using Equinox a lot lately and the hop character reminds me of that. There is a nice resinous quality accompanied by tropical fruit and citrus. The fermenter had an almost spicy spruce thing going on and I am curious to see if that comes through.

Bittered to 63 IBUs @ 60 min with a combination of Nugget, Columbus, and Bravo
4 oz hop hash at flameout
4 oz hop hash dry hop

Since I cannot really recreate it, I plan on doing one of these every year assuming YVH continues to offer hop hash.
