Actually, I do becasue I chose them!  In honor of Experimental Brewing being the #1 hobby podcast, they're letting us pick the strains for the whole year!  I don't know if I can tell you yet, but I can say this....April 7 is Session Beer Day and we're big supporters of that so we picked strains that would make good session beers for it.

How in the heck can we plan our next quarter's brews without this information?  :)

Agreed.  Hopefully they'll release it soon.  But plan on British ales and especially session beers.  Simple, see?

Sounds great to me! Though meanwhile I'll stick with 1469.
Hard to beat 1318 for me. Great top cropper. Top cropping is so much fun, I wish you could do it for lagers too.

Does anyone know what the next quarter PC releases will be?

Ha!  Bet you're chomping at the bit for them to release your Munich lager II, huh?
Ya, I think my slants have been in the fridge for about 9 months. It will be a good test of my skills I guess... I'll be brewing my first lagers of the season in about a month.

Jim, if you have a source for Imperial yeast, their L17 Harvest lager is the same strain as Wyeast Munich Lager II, and available year-round.
Not without mail order. I have a hard time not using Wyeast because they are so close to home. Local and fresh. As to the 2352, it's all good. It's an excuse to use my alcohol lamp and loop.

Imperial is portland based. I'm sure you can find it somewhere when you venture out on the bike.

OK, I just got the email from Wyeast so I can spill the beans....

We are collaborating with homebrew icons and top-rated hobby podcasters Denny Conn and Drew Beechum to bring you the Wyeast Private Collection strains for 2017. We are kicking off the year with some of our favorite British-style strains in honor of The Session Beer Project founded by Lew Bryson. If you’re not already familiar, The Session Beer Project – and Session Beer Day on April 7th – is a globally recognized effort to popularize and support the brewing and enjoyment of session beers. Anything coming in at 4.5% ABV or less and crafted for easy drinking without compromising flavor are the basic guidelines for a great session ale. Let’s raise a pint to these thirst-quenching brews!

And the yeasts are...

I hope you'll post some recipes.  I need to do some work on my bitters.  Not coming out as good as I'd like.

Why isn't session beer day 4/5? If we are just using arbitrary dates, pi day is now 3/18

Which yeasts are those? And are they good top croppers?

1882 sounds similar 1469 except for the diacetyl.  Do you know the sources of 1882 and 1768?  I love 1462 and plan on doing a Timothy Taylor Landlord clone for session beer day but I'm open to trying a different yeast.  Edit: that is if one of them makes the cut of course.

I think 1768 is the Young's yeast.
