I just had a thought (insert your favorite rare thought joke here). Would the 1026 yeast cake be up to putting a RIS of about 1.100 on it?

I pulled some cells from a couple slants of 2352 that I made around 10 months ago. They've been in a zip lock bag in the kitchen fridge since then. After about 36 hrs there was a nice layer of white in the bottom of my 20ml starters. I stepped them up to 200ml just now. I had also taken a sample and streaked a plate. So far so good. I don't see anything but fresh little white colonies. Nice to know even a goof like me can keep a strain alive.

Wyeast says it's good to 9%.
