That's the problem with the manbun. The hair looks totally normal from one point of view until it...just...looks...wrong.

Came here to get some escape from LODO. All I end up with is manbunz and corkcicles. Still better than moving that tub of 5.2....again. I look at it and it screams.......dumbass!!  Mom got me an extract beer kit this year.....guess all the sacks of grain never register. I love that woman. Continue on...

Indeed. I bought a Mr Beer kit on post-Christmas clearance a year or two ago just for the fermenter. The kit made an enjoyable beer with a yeast upgrade and a bit of CaraHell steeped/late hops added in.

Those extract kits are good for making starters... just pitch the hops, yeast, and the stale specialty grains.

IMO the Mr Beer fermenter can be added to the horrible products list. The current versions have channels cut in the rim that allows gas to escape. With this there is no method to sealing it up post fermentation. No biggie if you're on the ball and package quickly.

My BIL offered me one that somebody gave him in a gift exchange. He was going to throw it in a garage sale for a couple bucks otherwise. I took it thinking I could use it as a small fermenter. I saw those channels and scratched that plan. I returned it to a store for credit and bought an excellent cast iron grill pan.
