I would add ingredient reminiscint of gin instead of gin itself. Juniper and any botanicals...

Why not just add gin to taste?  That's what I've done.

I have to admit my first thought when I read the question was 'I think I'd try pouring it".   ;D

I've been trying to not be so sarcastic lately though.

I just don't know why you would do that to good gin...

But seriously, this is a thing?  Gin in IPA?  Maybe I need to get out more.

What is this "get out" that you speak of?
Risk of failure should be no deterrent to trying.

My first exposure was a gin barrel IPA from Gigantic Brewing in PDX.  The moment it hit my tongue I knew it was on my favorite IPAs ever.  The gin and hops just blended perfectly.

Hmm, that's pretty interesting, Denny. Never heard of it from a commercial brewery before now (guess I need to get out more often, too). Any idea what hops they use in it?

I'm envisioning a new type of boiler maker.

Actually, that's how it started!

Jon, it's called Pipewrench.  I don't recall what hops they use for it.  The website says "citrusy".

That's close enough. I was just trying to picture what sort of hops would work best with gin character.

Something like lime and tonic?

Makes me think of Motueka hops, which have a definite lime character.
