IPA Ginger Boiler Maker
« on: January 18, 2017, 03:29:36 pm »
After hearing Drew and Denny talk with Gigantic  (I think) about an IPA with a shot of Gin, I decided to try it out yesterday at the local tap house.

Damn!!! I think it's going to become a thing. Very tasty and makes the aroma really pop.

1. If you are an IPA guy, try it.

2. We need a name for this thing. Boiler Maker is taken. Maybe something in the vein of Irish Car Bomb. Portland Hop Bomb maybe?

Something that plays on a G&T would work too...especially considering the similarities. (Gin + something bitter, with an aromatic of some sort)
Corn is a fine adjunct in beer.

And don't buy stale beer.

Cascadian Gin Ale

CGA

Brewers realize they could make a lot more money rebranding it as an IPA variant. Becomes Apothecary IPA.

I know I am just being a jerk; although there are some gin barrel aged IPAs out there.
