My stirplate broke and I don't feel like replacing it. I've been using shaken starters with good success. The only tough part is timing for peak activity. I missed high krausen by about 8 hours because it took longer to get down to 50 than I expected.
Yeah, i usually don't make starters for low gravity beers because i don't have a stir plate.But u guys are right im going to make a yeast starter, but will it impart a different flavor due to the yeast getting to hot? Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
