Great Day!
« on: January 23, 2017, 02:26:16 pm »
Started off winter steelhead fishing on the Hood River. Had a couple takes but no hookups.

Then to warm up, I jumped to the other bank and dropped in at pFreim Brewing. Had an amazing Cognac barrels aged Dark Belgian Strong. Absolute beautiful beer! Got to shooting the breeze with them. A manager came down. We talked about beer and judging and awards... great folks. Walked out with a case of more amazing beers.

Life is great!

By the way, impressive foam for any beer, much less a 10% barrel aged...

Sounds like a great day.

I caught this guy on the Clearwater a fewyears back, in Orifino, Idaho.

A man works hard all week, so he doesn't have to wear pants all weekend.

That is a beauty!  I used to live in Missoula, and we would head up and over Lolo pass to hit up Jerry Johnson Hot Springs, and Bob Weir Hot Springs too.  Lots of good memories of that area.  I snowshoed up to the top of Lolo Peak with my wife before we were married.  A couple years ago, a buddy took me rockhounding up on Lolo pass and we found some excellent smoky quartz crystals.  Now they've closed it to rockhounding because the word got out and the place was getting pretty torn up I guess.  Rafting Alberton Gorge is a heck of a good time too.  I'm jealous!  Minnesota is pretty nice, but it sure doesn't have the topography you have out west.

I've got a couple pictures of that sign. The moose xing signs up the hill kinda freaked me out the first time
