Good evening everyone. I'm new to this forum but have been homebrewing for about a year. I started with small 1 gallon extract batches when I was in a cramped apartment but my wife an I recently bought a house and now I do 5 gallon extract batches.  I am a middle school social studies teacher hence my username.  Living in Raleigh, NC I have access to a lot of good local brews which is awesome.  I hope to learn as much as I can on here so that one day I can make the jump to all grain.

Cheers!

Welcome to the forum! Lots of great info here for the asking. My wife is a high school teacher, so I respect all the long hours you put in. Cheers!

Welcome, from a fellow middle-school teacher.  I like to keep some dry yeast on hand, so when we get a snow day, it turns instantly into a brewday  8)  Cheers!

Great to have you, and welcome. I was once kicked out of middle school for not shaving. Well... twice

Welcome aboard.  You should get some great weekday brews in with the federal holidays you may get off.

Thank you everybody. Teaching is great but a homebrewing or three on the weekend is needed to survive  in this line of work. Right now I have a single hop IPA in the fermenter.   This is bottling weekend so I will keep you posted on how it turns out.
