I guess it is supposed to be three answers. So Pliney, Heady, and juicy.

Wrong! Yuengling, SN Pale Ale, and...uh well I can't think of another good low abv cheaper craft beer that's available nationwide...
Corn is a fine adjunct in beer.

And don't buy stale beer.

Pliney

On a recent trip, I had a couple of fresh Pliny the Elders at Lucky Baldwins in Pasadena.

It is still a fine beer.

No doubt. Just calling attention to the ridiculousness of this "contest"

I agree on both counts.

This annual survey definitely falls under the "who cares" category, at least for me.
I wonder if it even provides any useful marketing info for the breweries that make the winning beers?

I don't know, but all the beers I submitted were under 6% abv...maybe some will take notice...

I won't notice.  I stopped paying attention to this survey years ago.

who cares is about right.  I view the yearly survey issue as a throw-away.  The list is dominated by ballot box stuffing homers and then there is Pliny....which is good, but not in my wheelhouse.  Who cares about the best beers you can't get, and all the highly rated ones you know well but don't particularly like?
You wouldn't believe the things I've seen...

Same here. I've said for years that 'Favorite Beers' would at least be an improvement. It's plenty debatable what the 'best' beer even is within a given style, much less all styles lumped in together. Whatever.
