Single Tier Brewery
« on: July 10, 2010, 09:05:04 am »
Here is my new system. I'll be doing a test brew on it today to get it all ready for the real thing. I've been working on it since February of this year. I decided to do a Brutus clone after many months of seeing other systems out there, and it seemed like a great way to go. I think I was going for durability, ease of use, and something I could store away and move around easily. I was near obsessed over the planning and building of this thing. Okay, I was obsessed. I didn't have to make it out of stainless, but I thought about the hassle of having to repaint the brew stand once in a while and stainless was the way to go in the long run.
All fittings are stainless with the exception of the Blichmann Autosparger. I plan on adding a water filtration unit in the near future and maybe a hopback. This was a complete thrill to finish this thing. Please let me know what you think.

Excellent brewstand!

What kind of burners are you using?

I also have a Brutus 10 made from SS but I am still working on the finishing touches. I am going to buy the Therminator soon.

I got the full set of plans from Lonnie M.

I assume you have tried it out. How is it working for you.

That’s a clean looking system.   Interesting looking conical back there, is that a yeast propagator, did you make that yourself?
If you don't get in over your head, how are you ever going to know how tall you are.

I'm no expert, but photo # 57 qualifies as "Art" in my book.  That is one cool brewing setup.

Very Nice indeed.  I've been working on a new brew stand for our home brew shop out of mild angle iron.  It's a HERMS using the Therminator.  I'm really excited to put it to use for our new Brew on Site program.
