34/70 & M76
« on: March 07, 2017, 10:42:04 am »
Are 34/70 and Mangrove Jack's M76 essentially the same strain? I recently split a batch of Munich Dunkel between the two and I'll be damned if I can taste a difference in the resulting beers.
I spent most of my money on beer, tools and guns, the rest I foolishly squandered on stupid stuff!

I do not know how similar they may or may not be but they are not the same strain. 34/70 is the world famous "Bohemian Lager" strain and MJ M76 is the Bavarian Lager strain. MJ does also have a Bohemian Lager strain same as the 34/70. I dont know the MJ number but I have used their Bohemian Lager with exclent results. I actually like it a little better than the 34/70.
