First batch is in the keg!
« on: March 24, 2017, 08:42:12 pm »
Finally got tired of bottling and took the plunge. Did a Imperial IPA that blew all over the top of the carboy in secondary, and went into the freshly built kegerator. Did all the goodies I could find on the web....the tower is PVC, got the fan for the tower cooler, did a Inkbird temp controller. Didn't happen to let all the freon out of the dorm fridge that had been in the garage for a dozen years going unused.

The initial taste is pretty dang good (might be sore tomorrow from patting myself on the back).

Also of note....my first post!

Congratulations and welcome. You deserve a pat on the back; it's a major accomplishment.

Good stuff! Now go check yourself into a Betty Ford clinic. You'll need it.

I know what you mean, Weaze.  That first keg blew in record time.  It was a hard cider, and I was working on finishing our basement so we could sell the house.  A very refreshing and wonderful keg to have on hand.  Pulling that handle is pretty magical!
