I split a batch of Munich Dunkel a couple months ago and fermented half with M76 and half with 34/70. The 34/70 finished a couple gravity points lower than the M76, but other than that there isn't much detectable difference between the two, at least to my taste buds. Fermentation times were about the same, even if the krausen looked quite different between the two. The 34/70 did clear up a bit better than the M76, but I'm more concerned with flavor than appearance. I haven't done any side by side comparison with any liquid yeasts as my experience with liquids is spotty at best.
