Wedding Beers for this weekend
« on: September 13, 2022, 03:10:40 pm »
Earlier this summer I brewed a 10 gallon batch of Pils, a 10 gallon batch of Marzen, and a 5 gallon batch of Blue Moon Clone for my niece's wedding this weekend and then to take on a vacation in the same area with family (if there is any left).  Brite-tanked the Pils and Marzen, carbonating in the process and racked under pressure (using a spunding valve) to purged serving keg (named the Marzen "Ludwig Lager") and hoping they travel well for the 6 hour trip to the wedding site.  They will be kept on ice for 2 days in two Cool Brewing Fermentation bags.  I didn't brite tank the Blue Moon clone, so it should be relatively hazy.  That one was the Bride's choice.  Hoping for the best with the beer transport.

Best of luck with them.  You’re a good uncle.

Thanks.  All went well and the bride and groom (and guests) were very appreciative.  A lot of ice kept the beer cooled for the lead up to the dispense.  The venue managers were very impressed with the beers, as well, which was nice.
