Starting up again with a koch
« on: May 11, 2017, 04:18:44 pm »
I have not brewed in a couple of years. When i did, out of the four i brewed only one turned out ok. So I am wanting to start again, but doing it right this time. I bought a Kolch extract kit from Northan Brewers. i have bought the fiz tabs for the carb. I have herd it's better to add table sugar to the boil in the last 10 minutes. Any thoughts.

Not familiar with that kit, so we can help better if you tell us what's in it and we can go from there

If you are asking about fizz tabs vs. table sugar for carbonation, neither should go into the boil.  Carbonation sugars are added well after fermentation is complete and you are preparing to bottle.
