Unibroue
« on: June 20, 2017, 05:04:31 pm »
I know other have a mentioned how great their beers are, but I've only ever had their "A Tout le Monde". (The Megadeth beer.) Which was excellent, but has been hard to find.

Well, the local bottle shop had a 6-pack sample. La fin do monde, A tout le monde, a dubbel, a wit, and two fruit wits.

So far I've only sampled the La fin. I may have a new favorite high ABB beer...
Corn is a fine adjunct in beer.

And don't buy stale beer.

La Fin du Monde is great and here in Oregon super available, all Trader Joes carry it and most of the other chain stores do as well.

A friend recommended Trois Pistoles and I think I got an old bottle or something because it was awful and metallic, but otherwise I've heard super great things about it. I think I just got a bad bottle.

The fruited wits are amazing.  The Ephemere Bleuet (Blueberry) is sublime. I'd love to try the raspberry and cherry versions, which are my two favorite flavors of Lambic as well.

La Fin du Monde is fantastic, although their lower gravity blond beer, Blanche de Chamblay is great as well.

I prefer Maudite to Trois Pistoles for their darker styles.

La Fin du Monde is one of my favorites with a big gourmet burger.

I love all the Unibroue beers. La fin du Monde is awesome, but I love Maudite, Trois Pistoles and the rest as well. I even like the Ephemere apple.

I find that their Blanche de Chambly is a very good rendition of Wit. If you can find that fresh, you won't be disappointed.

That was also in the sample, and was very good.

My favorite has to be A Tout le Monde. I love that there's an excellent commercial saison that's only 4.5% abv, and it's damn tasty to boot.

I've seen that one at the bottle shop but haven't had it yet.  Will certainly give it a try.

I found it funny one time I looked up my untappd beers from Canada (from the Great White North Badge) and every single one was Unibroue.
