Quote from: Clmac on June 03, 2017, 08:19:40 amI am somewhat new to brewing and I have no idea the amount of hops I should be using for the boil. How much would you recommend to use of the centennial hops for the first 60 mins, the second addition (centennial and Amarillo) and the final centinial at 5 minutes and dry hopping? Thanks in advance!!! I've never had this beer, so it's tough to judge. This assumes 5 gallons and that you use software like Beersmith, but having brewed many, many IPAs, a good general approach (in keeping with this hop schedule) would be:1/ Add 50 IBU Centennial @ 60 minutes2/ 2 oz EACH of Centennial and Amarillo @ 15 mins3/ 2 oz of Centennial @ 5 mins. 4/ I don't know how much hop aroma is in this beer when fresh but 4 oz dry hopped Amarillo would be reasonable. I bet this gets you fairly close. Just my $0.02 . Edit - Good luck! Let us know what you end up doing, and how the beer comes out.
