Joe F. at HomebrewCon said it should be in the Homebrew supply chain by the end of June if all goes well. So that removes the leg work there.

Based on my discussions with the distributor, it may take a bit longer than that, but not much.

I wonder what is meant by professional ingredients?

The only thing that would make sense to me is if it's supposed to stop someone from gaining a financial advantage by bringing home free ingredients.
