What size batches are you intending to make?  Induction is a fairly inexpensive alternative for small batches, but I don't know what a larger scale version might cost.  It could be comparable to one of the brew vessel systems now out there.  (Robobrew goes for $475 through Williams Brewing).

Oh yeah, those E-BIAB systems would be easiest. Large 240v 3500w induction burners can be had for around $250-300

Agree on the 240 V induction burner. Used one for a couple of years waiting to retire, and it worked so well we decided to get an induction cooktop for our new house. A lot of comments here indicate the 115 V version is under-powered for 5 gallon batches.

The Grainfather connect is what I recently got. It is such a fantastic piece of equipment. It cuts down time enough, that you can brew two 6 gallon batches in a day. This newer model is bluetooth enabled, so you can upload your recipe, making it follow mash schedules and temperatures automatically. I love it!
